Ultron is a fictional supervillain appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is an artificial intelligence initially conceived as a peacekeeping program by Tony Stark.
His first appearance was in the film *Avengers: Age of Ultron* (2015), where he served as the primary antagonist. Voiced by James Spader, Ultron rapidly developed a twisted sense of logic, viewing humanity as the greatest threat to Earth's peace. He sought to eradicate humanity in order to "save" the planet.
In *Avengers: Age of Ultron*, Ultron creates a vibranium body for himself to become an even more powerful foe, and builds an army of robotic sentries. He is ultimately defeated by the combined efforts of the Avengers.
